About Me

I am a licensed independent social worker, psychotherapist, teacher, presenter and facilitator skilled in the areas of cognitive behavioral therapy, mind-body interventions, and self-care practices to improve emotional, physical and mental well-being.

I am a graduate of Columbia University  School of Social Work. I have over 18 years of post-graduate experience providing psychotherapy and mental health services in health care settings including the Veterans Administration, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Fenway Health. I work with diverse clients from all racial, ethnic, spiritual backgrounds, sexual orientations and gender identities. I strive to approach my practice through a lens of cultural humility honoring each of my client’s identities and experiences.

I received advanced post-graduate training in cognitive behavioral therapy which I successfully apply to help clients reduce depression, anxiety, stress and to increase self-compassion, life satisfaction, and emotional well-being. In addition to my psychotherapy training, I am also a certified Yoga and Meditation Instructor. I believe in taking a holistic approach to mental health and I am able to integrate a mind-body approach to psychotherapy.

I have over 10 years of experience teaching and facilitating workshops on topics of self-care, yoga and mindfulness for stress management and anxiety. I have served as and adjunct professor at Simmons University  where I taught Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Additionally, I specialize in adapting cognitive behavioral therapy for diverse communities including the LGBTQI+ community.
